Continuing with the SDC peak list, I hiked Jacumba Mountain from the south, hopping boulders through typical desert terrain. The views down into Anza Borrego and Carrizo Gorge definitely made it worth the effort. Though my friend Eris had opted out of the hike in favor of photography and a nap, she kept me company as I visited the interesting town of Jacumba, scouted out some other hikes on the west side of Carrizo, and visited the Sacotone overlook.  Trip report
