Wyoming

Pictures in this gallery were mostly shot in Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park (both trekking and climbing), and several trips to “The Winds”. While the Grand Teton is of course a mega-classic climb, The Wind River Range tops is one of my favorite areas in the country. A truly wild place with gorgeous lakes, wild rivers, jagged granite peaks, and home to moose and grizzly bears. Wyoming’s highest mountain, Gannett (13810′), crowns the Winds and is considered to be the toughest state high point after Alaska. After climbing Gannett in 2015, I made a few return trips to the southern Winds to fish and climb a few other peaks, notably Warbonnet and Temple Peaks.
