New Mexico

I’d been to Los Alamos for work way back when but my next trips to New Mexico were much more fun. Photos are from Ship Rock, Chaco Canyon, a snowy climb of New Mexico’s high point, Roswell, Ft. Sumner (Billy the Kid’s grave), Bisti Badlands, White Sands, and Carlsbad Caverns. More recent trips included some bikepacking and hiking the states most prominent summits – Truchas, Taylor, Sierra Blanca, Cookes, etc, along with handfuls of more obscure peaks. The most beautiful outing I’ve had in New Mexico was backpacking Gila National Forest with nights spent at Jordan Hot Spring, one I plan to repeat…
