Tired from all the travel (and preparations for that travel) I’d done in the spring, I planned to stay local for a while and start cranking away on the Sierra Club’s San Diego Chapter (SDC) 100 peaks list. September 12th, Anna and I hiked a seldom visited peak called Bell Bluff, September 19th we hiked Mt. Gower and Eagle Peak, Septmber 25th I took my kayak out to La Jolla Shores to scope out the leopard sharks, seals, and a few small rays, and September 26th was especially fun; I got to take my brother and Anna up their first class 3 route on El Cajon’s South Arete.
