With the exception of wherever I’ve called “home”, I’ve spent more time in Anza Borrego than anywhere else. If I added up all my time spent exploring the park and surrounding areas, and in all my travels, it’s the one place I miss the most. The downside to this is that I’m running out of ideas for new nooks to explore in the area, though in reality I couldn’t get to it all in a lifetime. This trip included the following:

-3 day backpack in Potrero Valley to explore leftovers from native American village sites (w/George Zelenz)

-False Sombrero (repeat)

-Mountain Palm Springs

-Rock House Canyon

-Moonlight trail to search for a 1950s plane wreck (unsuccessful)

-Arroyo Tapiado (mud caves)

-Yacqui Peak

-Lizard Peak

-Fish Creek Mountains High Point
