The largest group of HPS peaks I had left lies in the Southern Sierra, so I hoped to take a big bite out of the 27 peaks in that area. My itinerary went as follows:

Nov 7 – Drive up from San Diego, hike Red and Black (#6) Mountains

Nov 8 – Lightner, Bald Eagle, Bohna, Sunday

Nov 9 – Black (#5), Split, Onyx

Nov 10 – Scodie and Pinyon

Nov 11 – Russell and Backus

Nov 12 – Morris, Jenkins, Owens (toughest day at something like 20 miles and 8000 feet of gain)

Nov 13 – Tehachapi, drive home

It was a rather full 6.5 days in possibly one of the more scenic areas on the list, and brought me up to 220/279…
