Trying to finish up the remainder of the HPS peaks I had around Big Bear and Arrowhead before heading back to San Diego for a few weeks worth of work, I cleaned house with the exception of one peak, Galena Mountain, which I chose to leave for the winter. My schedule went as follows:

Nov 2: Bighorn, Meeks, Black #4, Mineral, Tip Top (all with Philip Stinis)

Nov 3: Sugarloaf (with Philip Stinis)

Nov 5: Ten Thousand Foot Ridge, Lake Peak, Grinnell (~12 miles, 3500′ gain)

Nov 6: Dobbs, Shields, Anderson, San Bernandino East, San Bernadino (~26 miles, 7500′ gain, some snow)

Nov 8: The Pinnacles, Mount Marie Louise, Cleghorn, Cajon, Sugarpine, Bailey, Monument (last 3 were basically drive-ups)

Nov 9: San Sevaine Lookout, Buck Point (with Tom Waggoner)

I nabbed 70 peaks in all since leaving San Diego on October 4th, with time to enjoy coffee and beer with good friends, visiting my Mom and Grandparents,  a few days worth of rock climbing, and taking rest days just hanging around Big Bear Lake. Life is pretty good right about now…
