In anticipation of leaving San Diego soon, I’ve been keeping my adventures local the last few weeks. This weekend, I mountain biked the south side of Lake Hodges with my friend Matt Zamora, eventually making our way over to, and to the top of Battle Mountain (the mountain with the illuminated cross visible from the 15 near Rancho Bernardo). Sunday I went kayaking with a friend on Fiesta Island. I always like paddling underneath the 5 when I visit that place.
