I crossed into Romania on a bicycle from Serbia as part of my eastern Europe cycling tour. I wondered if I’d made a mistake the first few days in the country -narrow roads with dangerous traffic, non-stop rain, and dozens and dozens of feral dogs that I had to fend off.
