Malawi was the main focus of my Africa cycling tour. Jacob Kallman and I crossed over from Zambia and cycled to Lilongwe, Ntchisi Forest, Nkahta Bay, then took the Chambo Boat to Likoma Island. From Likoma, we crossed into Mozambique, returning to Malawi through Chiponde. From there we cycled to Namizimu Forest, Monkey Bay, Liwonde Naitonal Park, and then Blantyre. Jacob flew home from Blantyre, and I cycled to Mulanje for a 3-day trek of Malawi’s highest peak, Sapitwa, before returning to Blantyre and flying to Europe. Malawi has so much to offer – the sights, the lake, the animals, and of course the people – the warm heart of Africa.
