I didn’t quite know what to expect when I traveled to Bolivia, but with the impressive city of La Paz and seemingly endless and ever-changing landscapes outside of the city, it didn’t take long for me to think of Bolivia as one of my favorite Latin countries. Due to high wind, we had to abandon our plans of climbing the country’s high point, the massive 21463′ foot volcano Sajama, but we did climb Parinacota, a beautiful 20827′ volcano on the Chilean border, along with 19856′ Acotango. We also visited one of the less popular salt flats and had an epic 11000′ descent down Bolivia’s “death road” on mountain bikes. This is one country where I wished I had more time…
