One of my favorite places to bike in San Diego, we descended the Gatos Ravine trail to Laguna Meadow, looped around the almost dry Big Laguna Lake, and climbed back up to Sunrise Highway before making camp for the night. The following day we hiked Volcan Mountain just outside of Julian, a surprisingly pleasant hike with views that would be tough to match anywhere else in the county.
