While friends Matt Meyer and Kevin KcCowen split off for another objective, April Goebl and I set our sights on Galena Peak via the notorious Mill Creek Jumpoff. Occasional rockfall warranted the use of helmets, but the jumpoff itself was not as bad as expected. We had hoped for more snow, but only had small sections between the top of the jumpoff and the summit to contend with, before enjoying a leisurely 30 minutes on the summit of Galena on a gorgeous day.
