We finally redeemed a gift certificate I’d purchased for the family in December of 2011, and went whale watching off the coast of Dana Point (even though we knew the whales were out of season). Though no whales, we did see a few playful dolphin pods (which are technically whales 🙂 ). It was a fun day out with my Mom and brother, something we don’t do nearly enough.
