I visited my Grandfather for his 90th birthday on Saturday in Palm Springs, and figured I should at least tag one HPS peak while I was out. I spent the night in my truck near where the 74 and 371 cross, and picked out Indian Mountain just north of Idyllwild for the following day. I needed an easy one as I’d been sick this past week, and had plucked off all the easy peaks anywhere closer 🙂

Indian Mountain turned out to fit the bill exactly; it was mostly on a dirt road (usually hate this though), had great views, and I had the peak to myself, completing the roundtrip in under two hours.
