Visiting family in Palm Desert, I managed to sneak in a few easy peaks both on the way there and on the way back. Tagged Beauty, Iron Springs, Asbestos, and Little Cahuilla. I ended up thrashing through the brush a bit on Iron Springs Mountain and got caught out just past dark (big thanks to whomever has been clipping the trail though!), and really enjoyed Asbestos – a great “little” peak with a fun ascent, great views, and a nasty name. Haha.
